First, what is the definition of compassion? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, compassion is a “sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it.”
In other words, you recognize that someone is suffering, and you try to help. ‘Suffering’ doesn’t always mean someone who is showing outward signs of feeling hurt. Everyone struggles with finding complete peace and joy. Our job is to make life and the struggles we face on this Earth better by showing kindness to one another, whenever and however we can.
