First, what is the definition of compassion? According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, compassion is a “sympathetic consciousness of others’ distress together with a desire to alleviate it.”

In other words, you recognize that someone is suffering, and you try to help. ‘Suffering’ doesn’t always mean someone who is showing outward signs of feeling hurt. Everyone struggles with finding complete peace and joy. Our job is to make life and the struggles we face on this Earth better by showing kindness to one another, whenever and however we can. Every moment is an opportunity to be the change you want to see in this world.

Our COMPASSION IT wristbands provide a practical yet simple reminder for the general public to perform acts of compassion on a daily basis. They come in a pair and the person’s first act of compassion is to give one away. You begin your day with the white side out, and flip it to the blue/white/black side, once you perform an act of compassion.

It’s such a simple idea, understandable and appealing to all, providing a tangible and effective way to remind us to perform acts of compassion all year round. Never forget to make the world a better place, whether you’re a kid, an adult or somewhere in between!
